በሰውነት ውስጥ ያለውን የበሽታ መከላከል ሥርዓት ፀረ-እንግዳ አካል ማንጨት የሚያስችል አቅም እንዲፈጥር ያደረገ ክትባት ነው የተሠራው፡፡ ፀረ-እንግዳ አካሎቹ የተለመዱ የሚባሉ የቫይረስ ዝርያዎችን የሚገድሉ እንደሆነም ተመላክቷል፡፡

ተመራማሪዎች ክትባቱ ከህንድ እንደመጡ በሚነገርላቸው ሪህሰስ ማካዋክስ በተሰኙት የጦጣ ዝርያዎች ላይ ሞክረውት ነው ውጤታማነቱን ያረጋገጡት፡፡
ጦጣዎቹን ከፊሉን ክትባቱን በመስጠትና ከፊሉን ባለመስጠት ከሦስት ሳምንታት በኋላ ለኮሮና ቫይረስ እንዲጋለጡ አድርገዋቸዋል፡፡ ክትባቱን በብዙ መጠን የወሰዱ ጦጣዎች ቫይሱ አልተገኘባቸውም፤ ባወሰዱት ደግሞ ተገኝቷል፤ ሳምባቸውም ተጎድቷል፡፡ ይህም ክትባቱ ሠርቷል ማለት ነው ተብሏል፡፡

ክትባቱ ወደፊት በሰዎች ላይ እንደሚሞከርም የሲ ጂ ቲ ኤን ዘገባ አመላክቷል፡፡ ሲ ኤን ቢ ሲ እንደዘገበው ደግሞ ከአውሮፓ ተነስቶ ወደ አሜሪካ የተስፋፋውና አሁን ላይ እየተዛመተ የሚገኘው የኮሮና ቫይረስ የባሕሪ ለውጥ በማድረጉ የክትባት ማግኘት ሂደቱ ፈተና እንደገጠመው ታውቋል፡፡

ክትባትን ተስፋ ማድረግ እንደተጠበቀ ሆኖ ላለመያዝ የሚመከሩ ተግባራትን በመፈጸም ወረርሽኙን መግታት እንደሚገባም የጤና ባለሙያዎችና መንግሥታት እየመከሩ ነው፡፡ ክትባቶች ቢገኙ እንኳ በዓለም ላይ ለሚገኘው ሕዝብ ሁሉ በአጭር ዓመታት የማዳረሱ ጉዳይ ከባድ እንደሚሆን እየተገለጸ ነው፡፡

Black people and those of Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani ethnicity have a significantly higher chance of dying from COVID-19 than white people, the British statistics office said.

"The risk of death involving the coronavirus among some ethnic groups is significantly higher than that of those of White ethnicity," the Office for National Statistics said.

"Black males are 4.2 times more likely to die from a COVID-19-related death and Black females are 4.3 times more likely than White ethnicity males and females," the ONS said.

"People of Bangladeshi and Pakistani, Indian, and Mixed ethnicities also had statistically significant raised risk of death involving COVID-19 compared with those of White ethnicity."
