The Puzzle has been Solved: Gada Melba is Dr. Taddesse (Dr. Fido) Ebba

Today, Oromia News Network (ONN) solved the puzzle which was unsolved for the last three decades. Until today, no one knows for sure author of the timeless and popular book titled "Oromia, an Introduction to the History of the Oromoo People". The author used pen name of Gada Melba and his book is one of the widely read books and translated into Afan Oromo and Amharic. It was published in 1988 and it is an earth shaking book. Now it has been known that Gada Melba is Dr. Taddesse (Dr. Fido) Ebba. Dr. Taddesse Ebba was educated both in U.S. and Canada in 1970s and he was the professor of Haramaya University. He got his PhD in 1970s and he is the founder and General Manager of Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute. The journalist insisted and pushed the humble Dr. Taddesse (Dr. Fido)Ebba to admitted and after some resitance he admited that he is the author of "Oromia, an Introduction to the History of the Oromoo People" but he underlined that the book is the property of OLF and the Oromo people. Dr. Ebba is one of the founders of OLF. Thank you Dr. Ebba for all your life time services.

In addition, he disclosed that Obbo Terfasa Mitiku and Dr. Haile Fida were the two Oromo nationalists who played lead role in creating the Qube Afan Oromo. Both Terfasa Mitiku and Haile Fida were educated in Germany and France.

Asked about who wrote the first program of OLF and who created the Red-Green-Red Oromia flag, he said both are the group product of the founders of OLF in 1976.
