Tigrians are scaring Eritreans of the threat of Amharic language hegemony

Post by Deqi-Arawit » 23 Dec 2019, 22:38

In social Media and even in this forum, Tigrians are scaring Eritreans, the threat the Amharic language can pose to people<äs identity. They took a picture of banner as an example on which the word welcome was written in both Amharic and Tigrigna in Keren. Their opposition and dissatisfaction was, why were the Amharic words written above the Tigrigna words  First of all, it is far fetched and rich for Tigrians to pretend that they care about culture, language and identity more than Eritreans. Because Eritreans didn't take arms and headed to the field because the federal government failed to provide us food or water but because Haile Selasie prohibited the practice of Tigrigna language in schools. Furthermore, After almost 30 years of Tigrian hegemony in Ethiopia? What has Tigrians done to uplift and enrich the language they claim to have as a mother tongue? I dare any Tigrian to provide me the link on which Tigrians pray to the almighty in their "mother tongue" and I double dare you to provide me the link on which Tigrians sing to glorify and praise God in their mother tongue.

in another development, Tigrai Media house, a Wayane established propaganda media is raising the issue of identity to attach Eritreans? Really? What is the identity of Tigrians? Are they Tigrigna or they are Amharic or ZarmoZarmo? Tigrians are identity less people. At least, The Tigrigna people of Eritrea, despite hundreds of years of foreign colonization, We kept intact our identity and language? What has Tigrians kept?

This is true, the Tigrinya of Eritrea have only One Ethnic Identity that they identify with.

Tigrayans of Ethiopia are not a monolithic group:

1. Agame
2. Adowa
3. Tembien/Mekele
4. Axum
are the only "Tigrayan groups"..the rest are other ethnic groups forced to be a part of Tigray kilil

And the 4 groups above do not like each other and compete...

I didn't include raya azebo or wolkiat as they do not consider themselves as "Tigrayans"...

Hey Tigrayans why are you ethnicity-jacking all of the time!?
