The only real thing in the world are countries. Everything else is just fantasy. There is no culture circumscribed by borders. Culture is diffuse, undefinable, while countries are concrete and very definable. We don't know how many nations there are in the world, or how many cultures, or how many languages, or how many peoples, or how many citizens, or how many religions, or how many cities, or how many kilils. But we know to the last decimal how many countries there are in the world.
Countries are long lasting. Cross generational. They don't expose themselves to infatuations. They don't fall in love. They don't hate. They don't like. They don't resent. They calculate. They simply try to get along.
Language evolves, culture continuously changes, countries do not evolve, they either exist or do not exist. Norway is a country. Belize is a country. Russia is a country. Eritrea is a country. What defines countries is not just what they are, but also what they are not.

We don't want to see kumbaya between countries, we just want to see peace and harmonyjusto wrote: ↑21 Dec 2019, 23:19The only real thing in the world are countries. Everything else is just fantasy.
