Some archeological findings near Yeha have shown an old town which is about 2500 years old. We are not sure whether this Town is Tigrayan even though it is located in Tigray.
But the Amhara are claiming this aracheological town to be the origins of "Bete Amhara". How could there be an origin of Bete Amhara in Tigray when no single village in Tigray including around Yeha speaks Amharic as their mother tongue.
This is fasification of history by Amhara elites and shoud be stopped .
Amhara have been building false identity over the centuries by stealing history of Tigray. We are not sure whether there has been any Amhara king at all. Most kings in history were from Tigray or mixed with the other tribes. The Amhara elites boldly assert all kings to have been Amhara. There is no single archeological site that shows any evidence of Amhara presence even in Gondar, Gojamme or Shewa. The Michael Washa near Addis Abeba is related to Aksum.
Some tribes in Africa have been migrating from the different corners to areas where there has been law and order. Aksum was a relatively stable kingdom where the population had some sense of security where the Aksumite protected their citizens from criminals by applying the law
We call Amhara elites to stop falsifying history of Tigray and Ethiopia.
