Following the decision in 2004 to move the then Oromia's capital from Addis Ababa to Adama, there was a widespread Oromo movement to oppose it.
There was also a widespread campaign, particularly by the then CUD and UEDF, in preparation for the elections in 2005.
I wonder if there is any credible observer that disputes that both political movements were dynamic and significant for the trajectory of politics in Ethiopia since then.
In view of Jawar Mohammad's claims that he is the leader of the political change that has come to Ethiopia in recent years, I am wondering how much his supporters are aware of those political movements of 2004 and 2005 in Ethiopia. I do not remember at all his name or any entity that he led that was part of those movements. Do his supports know where he was then and what his contributions were in those movements? I wish to be enlightened if they have any significant contributions in those movements that they can claim to have been made by their idol.
