Oct 11, 2019: President Isaias Afwerki received, at State House this afternoon, the Minister for Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation of the Republic of South Sudan, the Hon. Awut Deng Acuil. The Foreign Minister delivered a message from President Salva Kiir to President Isaias Afwerki.
President Kiir’s message centered on peace-building efforts in South Sudan, its facilitation of peace talks between Sudanese Government and opposition movements, and ties of cooperation between Eritrea and South Sudan. President Isaias emphasized Eritrea’s readiness to deepen these historical ties. !!!
