During the struggle Eritreans lived in that barren cannot grow even qolqal trees Nakfa and Sahel regions 100% fed by the Arab countries via Sudan and Red Sea open ports from all Arabs and the fighters did not even look fighter when you see their cheek but once they became independent nation all the support dwindled to the ground and the realty hit them hard never exposed before in their life time. They used to live by different countries occupations at various times specially the fool Italian came and brought all their capital currency, brain knowledge and know how to do and built some of the cities and build cottage industries to process Ethiopian raw materials for exports and the Eritreans were employed and had decent living. Once the Italian left, everything the Italian government built were handed over to the native Eritreans and Ethiopia came along and financed them free loans and gave them virgin fertile lands for free and life was heaven but that life sent them to the permanent hell they could not come out now. The Eritrean struggle was nothing but greediness thinking if we can live the way they did during Haileselassie era, they can even live richer if they are independent nation. Today the realty came and told them live "B'chifrka or Betfrh" and the nail was broken the heart was dashed, the eyes bleak and the moral motives vanished.
During the struggle in Tigray the people converted them from feudalism to agony resisters and all Tigrayans tested to very harsh unforgiven realty and the war was waged as self reliance society by snatching from enemy soldiers and farming. Once the peace revived the Tigrayans roared to the highest and changed the landscape of Tigray from desert hills to green hills and people believe Tigrayans live by their own nails that is our developments are by our own sweat and nails despite Tigray leaders have been greedy and pigs and some even looters.
