Lencho Leta aka. Leenchoo Lataa = ?

Post by DefendTheTruth » 01 Jul 2026, 08:56

My take is an:

OPPORTUNIST

I am not sure if there is anybody on the planet who could come near to him in this regard.

I am not a fan of Daud Ibsa but there is an important point Daud is raising in this interview in the video below and I readily agreed with him as a potential truth, because I know Lencho is a truly opportunist in the whole of his life.

He led OLF when he thought that could led him to come to power on a shortest path, the idea of an independent Oromia came to the paper just to use it as a bargaining means to share power in Ethiopia, one of the founders of OLF admitted in public in the past.

When OLF withdrew from the government Lencho never spent a time to turn on OLF itself and started to cajole the TPLF and blackmailing his erstwhile comrades in arms, dropping them in the cold. He was more close to Meles Zenawi than his erstwhile comrades in arms. Recently Prof. Ephraim Isaac stated in public that Lencho begged him to bring him closer to Meles, for nothing but be able grab power.

When all failed he still didn't want to spend more time to look for yet another shortest path to come to power, and decided to create yet another political party, which sounded more lenient on the position of ethnicity ideology, which appeared more convenient to make it palatable to the day's political landscape in the country, in the name of ODF, purposely coined to make it appear equivalent to EPRDF (revolution was no more in trend, else the rest is the same except the scope limited to Oromo, instead of Ethiopia).

He didn't not also spend time to approach the Ethiopia diaspora political parties, example in the name of Vision Ethiopia, purportedly selling the ODF as new force to subscribe to Ethiopian unity, under an arrangement of having a proportional (numerical size of the Oromo people) share of the state power to itself.
He reportedly admitted in his recent biography published and inaugurated in front of the public we were trying to use the "Ethiopianist camps" (አሃዳዊያን like he likes to call them) in the name of Ethiopian unity in the whole enterprise of "Vision Ethiopia". He didn't lose any time to confess his opportunist nature in his own biography. He didn't succeed in this regard too.

He then didn't waste any time to rush to the current change government and start the business he excelled his whole life "political opportunism" and started to play the Lemma Megersa group against Abiy Ahmed in the name of "Gaddisa" something, when he decided to use the likes of Jawar Mohammed as well. This was essentially about removing Abiy Ahmed and use Lemma in his place to be able to manipulate from behind in accordance to his own taste.

These are roughly the points I can list here, well verifiable, but the list much longer.

After all failed in this interview Daud alleges Lencho was mandated (with other senior members) to write down the history of OLF after his team was removed from the political leadership responsibility, he never declined to take the responsibility nor he did deliver for decades.

Now he used the opportunity to publish the history in a form of a biography and generate an income (in millions of ETB) for himself, old habits die hard like the saying goes.

"Yes, Woyane had its hands in OLF" and "OLF might had its own hands in Woyane" because this is a general norm of running politics, accodring to Daud Ibsa, chair person of OLF.

At the same time Oromo youth were dying en masse all over Oromia, in the name of Oromo protest and other forms of resistance against woyane rule in Oromia.

DDT,
You left the day to day attack dogs cadre duties to the Gurage boys and deeply engaged in the grand strategy of Oromo internal politics. You are evolving on your own way.
You have to be careful though when you give assignments to the Gurage boys, at times they do more harm than gain to impress their handlers.

TPLF &OLF are inseparable in strategy and goal. The same is true with PP& TPLF. If OLF is the son of TPLF, then PP is the grandson.
PP is a brain grandchild of TPLF.
They are fighting on who will be the top.

As the Oromo youth fighting PP has more to do with economic collapse and bad governance than the OLF. Off course Jawar & co are at the background.
It will ultimately topple PP. Whoever have an Amhara as an ally will prevail. A matter of time.

But "Amhara" has also its own Liberation Front now, as such has no time to make the others kings.

Do you mind confirming or denying if he is the same person as Yohannes Leta who has said that to think that an Almighty exists is a mental disorder and that religion is advanced slavery?

A long time ago, I read somewhere that letters were invented as symbolic memories of physically existent entities.

For example, the first letter A was meant to be a symbolic reminder of an A shaped bird Aleph.

The language that those who invented the Ethiopian alphabet remains a question for me.

Its development to incorporate symbols for vowels, different symbols for similar sounds, such as ሠ and ሰ, and አ ቡ ጊ ዳ remains fascinating to me.

I am positive that they will become a very fertile field of scientific research in the years to come, in the era of the second Renaissance.

At this point, I can’t stop thinking which of the following two symbolic representations for the same word a human brain remembers easier.

Can anyone give it a try by reading them over and over?
