The problem is a donkey husband can't protect its wife from a hyena!
To begin with Assab is a contested Ethiopia property and Egypt would have to be really stupid to get itself entangled with a historical Ethiopia port. If Egypt gets militarily involved in Assab, it would be making a costly historical mistake which it would regret forever.
Secondly, Egypt is up to its neck with foreign debt, with shaky economy and unstable Suez canal which is its major source of income.
So, the big yada yada about Egypt's idea of whole sale rehabilitation of the dead Eritrea economy and society is totally fake propaganda optics. Egypt does have that kind of financial muscle even for its own domestic needs leave alone for Eritrea. Remember, Egypt could not send large military to Somalia because it did not have the money.
Sure enough, the defunct and failed Eritrean adventure of statehood now requires a colonial protection from an other crisis-ridden Egypt. Only an idiot would believe that Egypt or any other crazy Arab state would waste billions of dollars on Assab port that has no commercial value without Ethiopia and at the same time claimed as Ethiopia's historical property.
So, the big noise again in Cairo (between ዘ ቆሞ ቀር አሳያስ እና ወናፍ አል ሲሲ) is just that a noise, an empty dramaturgy.
FINALLY, ERITREA IS OFFICIALLY A COLONY OF EGYPT JUST AS SOMALIA IS A COLONY OF TURKEY
