The average adult height by region in Ethiopia? Who is the shortest?

Post by Odie » 08 Jun 2026, 08:45

Regional Height Variations:

Addis Ababa & Oromia: Residents (including the Oromo and urban populations) are typically the tallest in the country. Studies on growth patterns show no significant difference in height between males and females in the Oromia region, former SNNPRS (Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region), and Addis Ababa.

Amhara & Tigray: Adults in these northern regions are generally shorter on average compared to those in the capital. Health surveys frequently attribute these reduced averages in part to higher rates of childhood stunting.

Somali Region:
Populations living in the arid Somali region often exhibit shorter statures and a higher prevalence of chronic energy deficiencies, influenced by environmental factors and traditional diets.

Where is SINZIRO FROM? Aye Komche
He despises Kocho but he is growth stunted and mentally retarded. No wonder why Ethiopian politics became a calculus for him and all it can do is gun toting and mayheming the traditional work he likes
