I did not say that every Gurage is excellent and successful. A good example is you. But in every Gurage home the demand on every child is to be successful in whatever he or she does. If you are lazy, not a hard worker, not an achiever, even your parents become ashamed of talking about their children. This is a fact. I have always suspected about your Gurage upbringing. Again, you're prejudicing Gurage parents as being disfunctional parents who don't understand the developing child of sovereign interests and goals that develop as a result of persuation and the experience of exposure rather than coercision. This translates to sending a child to school, may talk to you about the story of a successful trader, priest or Imam or will ask you to help dad, mom or brother on the farm. Gurage parents do not raise their children in the mean way you lied on them.
