Why now?
Does anybody know where he is?
The principle of ethnic federation is not necessarily a bad idea as far as no one ethnic hegemony exists and there is a rule to engage power sharing and other things. That has not been properly implemented. Amhara-Tigre elites ruled for long then Tigre ruled long without implementing proper ethnic rule/power sharing/ by keeping Tigray hegemony. Then followed Oromo elite hegemony. Derg was better in principle for reaching out to the oppressed mass but was marxist dictatorship.
Learning from all the mistakes of these, Fano was hoped to reavel its political idiology expectedly some sort of citizen based federal country ( ethnic or geographic) with democracy. But behind the scene it appears working to resurrect የሞተ አንበሳ royal line and unitary government using only pure amhara blood Fano. This can not be practical and in fact sounds silly because a lot have happened to abolish the imperial system, unitary culture, unitary country and Amhara dominance. The abuse, oppression of the feudal and imperial system was removed with the utmost price and any one that craves to bring back that evil system should face a fiery opposition from hell

When he said every tribe had been equal under the TPLF leadership, he was lying. There has never been ethnic federalism in Ethiopia when TPLF was in total control. There was only a talk about it. The Oromo leaders should have been approved by TPLF. To some extent even the Amharas. Do the Amharas and Oromos ever have elected their representatives. No. TPLF baked it for them.
The Oromo prisoners of war had become the Oromo representatives by the blessing of TPLF. The EPRP faction that remained in the field collaborated with TPLF and assigned the duty of representing Amharas that was because EPRP was considered the Amhara organization by TPLF. Berket Simon and ካሱ ኢላላ willingly bought that ተረት። Mind you neither Berket nor ካሱ is Amhara.
Infact, had TPLF sincerely believed in ethnic federalism and implemented, it wouldn’t have been replaced the way it happened.
The people who demanded change did so because they were tired of the total control of TPLF.
He lied when he said the army was an Ethiopian army. And never was. It took years after TPLF had gone to build a true Ethiopian army, and still needs work to eradicate መንደርተኝነት from the army.
Where is he now. Does he say even a fraction of what he had said then.
I very much doubt it. He knows there is a totally different audience that can’t stomach such a lie.
