It spread by persecution of pagans, Jews and Muslims in the present Ethiopia, formerly northeast Africa and by UN sanctioned pejorative word Horn of Africa.
The victims were killed, sold as slaves, their cattle and grains looted, and their houses and grains burnt with whole families kept inside, their lands taken and bannished to lowlands, honorary titles taken if they refused to convert to Orthodox Christianity, no other sects of Christianity such as Catholicism and Protestantism allowed in former Abyssland of northern Ethiopia.
