Re: Old Addis Ababa vs New Addis Ababa
For Dr Abiy Ahmed to modernize Addis Ababa especially the old core he would have to demolish entire neighborhoods *slums at the core of Addis Ababa Arada, Lideta, Addis ketema, and Kirkos are horrible in infastructure.
But such modernization comes with a heavy price the first price is displacing the local residents and erasing the old Addis Ababa. The second is increasing the land value of Addis Ababa making it much more un-affordable for locals to live in. The third is the expense and return of invesment on modernizing such Sefers would demolishing and building new residential apartments or houses actually gain a good buyer market. The fourth is the compensation for the residents displaced such demolishing of homes must be ensured with compensation.
New Neighborhoods built in Koye Fiche as large as their apartments are I believe these neighborhoods lack integrative infastructure including grocery stores and shopping centers. These New neighborhoods must have shopping centers. Locals should be able to walk to the local grocery stores. The Government can build its own shopping markets.

Re: Old Addis Ababa vs New Addis Ababa
In the outskirts of Addis, Kobe Fitche is ok for development and can be suburb. But Addis residents who lived for centuries there displacing them, the only reason and deception is govt's friends and pp itself wants profit by selling the land as high demand by increasing its value because of Africa HQ being there. Whatever it is, it is not moral, gradual development it is to profit and some groups pocket is growing for sure!

Gulele, Kirkos, Lideta, and Arada have the worst infastructure while Bole, Arat kilo and NefasSilk Lafto have the best infastructure such as high quality roads, modern residential buildings and town organization
