It looks it is too late for Abiy to make peace with Tigray! FANO and OLA have to be part of any peace deal!
Abiy gave deaf ear to the call of reconcilation and peace with Tigray for several years. The old guards of OPDO felt their master TPLF will ultimately eat them alive if it is not completely killed and they have done their best over the last 8 years to kill TPLF. Now they have suddenly released TPLF is mobilizing support and a well trained army and they are looking for atleast for a tactical cooperation with TPLF including allowing TPLF to control Souter And Western Tigray with out serious resistance. Them believe such action will enable them to divide the TPLF, FANO and OLA alliance. Axumezana's view is that the OPDO led PP is too late and TPLF should strengthen its cooperation with FANO and OLA and remove Abiy from power. The war has already started and it shall continue toward Addis Ababa once Tigray is liberated. For that to happen FANO has to clearly declare that they respect the territorial integrity of Tigray! Doing the right thing at a right time should be the way forward!
