we don't hear much about the opposition political parties regarding the Asseb Port
FANO is not openly saying nothing despite the fact some hinting normalized relationship with Eritrea and working out amicable agreements.
EPRP is keeping quiet so as not to find its politicians in Aboy's prisons.
TPLF is not even registered as an opposition party and their stand has always been shutting Eritrea out.
In my opinion "better the devil you know than the devil you don't".
Ethiopia should not waste time rolling the dice on something unknown with the express order from UAE.
Re: What's the EPRP stand on Asseb
You are not a serious guy. The history of EPRP was serving the interests of Egypt Vis vis Eritrea. Eritrea has been and is a proxy of Egypt & Arab interests.EPRP is keeping quiet
Please visit the EPRP website and read DEMOCRACIA, the party slogan of the 70s.
EPRP then believed Ethiopia is a prison of different ethnic groups. They believed all the different ethnic groups were arrested by Amharas.
They declared then the Afars are the prisoners of Ethiopia and therefore they have a right to separate. Here is the catch, they split Afar in two, the one with the coastal area of Afar is to be called Eritrea. And the other Afar to be located 60 kms inland is to be called the Ethiopian Afar that they claim is in prison.
Mind you Eritrea wasn’t a country then. Eritrea had 9 main ethnic groups but the EPRP never protested for the right of self determination for those ethnic groups. All they care was breaking up Ethiopia and destroying Amhara.
Horus is a diehard EPRP of the day and so is the younger Birhanu Nega, these are the people who are calling others agents of Eritrea. And they never stop mentioning Ethiopia pretending to care. They are now doing it all over again, this time on behalf of PP that believes in the Oromo vision based on the invaders of 1500s.
A weird world.
I hope I explained it well.
