We know that there is no modernization in Gurage and many other places in the country, including the place where I was born and raised, went to an elementary school built from a mud wall with corrugated iron roofs by the locals for the first time in the area, to give the local children an opportunity of visiting a school. I hope your village is also no much a different, unless you are among the very few born in one of the few towns in the country and may not know much about the hardships of countryside lives. If my hope is valid, then so there is no modernization in your village too.

Those "not modernized" villagers raised their money and financed your schooling, among others. You owe them a payback, if you were not such a moron. Instead you found it something fun, that a society in Ethiopia is not modernized. If you were to be given a power over those not modernized villagers, you were also super happy, not to change them (their daily lives) but to tape into their resources and exploit them even further, what truly morons do.

Even if you are not for modernizing of the vast part of the Ethiopian rural community, then you could have simply over jumped the post instead of lolling over such a sad story of us all.

Is your village more modernized than that of what one would find in Gurage? Please come back and enlighten us about it!

If not, then you are such a human scumbag that lolls over his own, that of his own parent's and the rest in the community's misery, who sent you to school to learn something and be productive citizen among them.

Gurage is a modern society. Rural corridor is modeled after the Gurage Jefore system. Gurage has a modern legal system, assembly (modern adminisrative system. Gurage lives in houses with carpet. The Gurage does not have mud floor. Gurage makes all of the tools of modern life such as plates and spoons. Gurage is the only people in Ethiopia who had used spoon to eat with. Gurage created a modern banking and organized work system. Abiy Ahmed is one smart leader who is insightful and visionary enough to use Ethiopia's our own creativity and innovation. You talk about 3,000 years of history! what have you invented during all those years. Be humble!

Gurage is a war zone. Gun nights in Welkite, Butajira and Enseno, and Qose are too common. Arsons of schools in Qosye, village homes in Mesqan and Abeshge of 7bet have been going on for 2 decades. In one night, a massacre of 40 Kistanes. A Kistane elder of some social status ransomed from his kidnapoers by the negotiated pay of $20million birr two eeeks ago.
On October 8, 2025, Hadya hoodlums marched on Qosye town of Gurage and killed one innocent youngman, maimed 10 people, burned houses and two brand new schools rebuilt after the old ones were burned by other Hadya terrorists.
