Egypt’s primary source of revenue has long been U.S. aid, which has been used in part to serve as an intermediary between Israel and Palestine. The ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict has not only provided Egypt with crucial financial support but has also positioned the country as a key U.S. ally in the Arab world. Hypothetically, if the Gaza Treaty succeeds and the millennia-long conflict comes to an end, it would result in the loss of this vital revenue stream. In this scenario, Egypt’s role as a strategic partner to the U.S. would diminish, and the financial aid it receives could be significantly reduced, essentially ending the U.S.'s implicit "bribe" for Egypt's cooperation.
