Depressing Grade 12 education results should not have been a media event at which he was the only star of doom. He should be ashamed of the few number of students qualifying for university education. He rather came to radio and tv to blame the stufents who failed to qualify for university education. It's a common knowldege that it's the system he designed that failed the majority of the students.
No former monisters of education blamed students on tv and radio for their poor performamce. Former ministers, if anything, would have been sympathetic to the students who failed.
