Abay Dam Shows Confederation not Tribalism

Post by fasil1235 » 12 Sep 2025, 03:53

The Abay Dam has been cheered by all ethnic groups to bring on change and development to Ethiopia

The Abay Dam symbolizes what hard work looks like when all ethnic groups come together to build something great

Abay Dam is a symbol of confederation

Abay Dam is todays Battle of Adwa. During the Battle of Adwa members of all tribes including from Gambela and Welayta, marched all the way to Tigray Region up to Adwa to defeat the italians from annexing Ethiopia. The Rivaling heroes of Ethiopia all came together such as Ras Alula of Tigray, Ras Teklehaymanot of Gojjam and Ras Mikael of Wollo, Gobana Dache of Shewa Oromo, Menelik of Shewa Amhara and many more contributed to the victory in Adwa

The Abay River is where hundreds of rivers from Amhara and Oromia region meet and flow towards the ancient Civilization of Egypt... The Abay river is a symbol of Ethiopian Unity above tribalism. The Abay river has orgins in both Jimma and Gonder, both Gojjam and Welega and both Shewa and Wollo.

The sickness of tribalism is embodied mostly in OLF, Fano and TPLF

The battle of Adwa was won by the confederation of Ethiopian tribes and led by Ankoberian Menelik

The GERD Hidase Abay Renaissance Dam was led by Adwan Meles Zenawi and finished by Jimman Abiy Ahmed

The town of Addis Ababa was founded by Gondere Tayitu wife of Menelik of Shewa. Addis Ababa is a city that has a confederation of almost all tribes of the country living in 1 city

although we may not like these leaders it's agreeable that they have fought to continue the confederation of Ethiopia.

I have recently seen a Somalilander women celebrating the GERD dam with Amharic Music.,. She is historically related much more to Ahmed gragn then any other Somali tribe the "Isaaq" of Hargiesa. Today the Muslim Isaaq children of Ahmed Gragn want confederation with Ethiopia and speak well about Ethiopia much more then the Christian Medri-Bahri children of Asmara

This shows how the Confederation of Ethiopia can expand into Somalia through the power of GERD we can form an alliance with all Somali tribes like the Somalian Government, Somalilander Government, Jubaland Government, Puntland Government to gain access to the Red Sea
