ባዳና ባንዶች በፍጹም ባፋቸው የማይጠቅሱት ነገር ምንድን ነው? ሕዳሴ ግድብ! ኮሪዶር ልማት!

THE MAJESTIC MIGHTY GERD HAS RISEN ON PLANET EARTH LIKE THE SEMIEN MOUNTAINS, LIKE MOUNT KILIMANJARO, LIKE THE HIMALAYAS FOREVER BECOMING ONE OF THE GREAT LANDMARKS OF THIS EARTH!! ታዲያ የኢትዮጵያ ጠላቶችና ተላላኪ የውስጥ ባንዳዎች ምላሳቸው ቢታሰር እንዴት ይገርመናል

The grand dam is a grand boondoggle. Initially, its purpose was to save the Weyanes from a possible popular uprising as the Arab spring storms were blowing in the neighbourhood. After Meles' death, his successors started a massive campaign of naked theft and the GERD was a huge cash cow! Abiy now wants to use it as a propaganda ploy to save his arse. But what is its purpose? If it is to generate electricity, then where will the dying nation get the billions of dollars to build the transmission lines?
The cost to build electric transmission pylons and lines varies significantly, with factors like voltage, terrain, and urban vs. rural settings driving the price, which can range from approximately $1.6 million to over $4.4 million per mile for overhead transmission lines, depending on the location. More specific examples show a 69 kV line costing around $285,000 per mile, while a 500 kV substation can cost $110 million, and the overall cost for massive projects can reach billions of dollars.

THIS IS PRECISELY MY POINT. YOU SEE, ERITREANS ARE GENETICALLY THE ENEMY OF ETHIOPIA. AS TO THE VALUE AND FATE OF THE GERD, LET US LEAVE IT TO THE WORLD AND OTHERS TO JUDGE. BUT, HERE IS WHO YOU ARE IN BLACK AND WHITE - A DEEP EVIL WISHER! THIS IS WHY SOONER OR LATER ETHIOPIA HAS TO ERADICATE THIS EVIL.

Horsey,

You are your own worst enemy! You have no principles, always going for the short-term gain and eternally losing in the long term. I am telling you the facts of life, that you will need billions of dollars to make Gerd useful. But you don't like reality. You prefer your fantasies! That has been obvious for some time now. Now go and ask Google how much it costs to build transmission lines and you will learn the hard facts of reality!

The Isayes cadres all were for the GERD when Isayes and Abiy have been playing friendship. Now, they are telling us, Ethiopia will not have the money to have the transmission lines going. Ethiopia will.
It is wise to think there are thousands and thousands of Ethiopians who chart a plan, a goal to materialize it.
We are not living in a cult.
By the way even the Egyptians have not come up with this nonsense.

Dumbito,

You are too low IQed to understand! GERD is just a big lake until Ethiopia builds the transmission pylons to transport the electricity! This is not atomic physics!

Seasame, why you care ? It is not your country. Countries and data centers are waiting patiently to purchase electricity from Ethiopia. It is reasonable to assume they know about transmission better than a high school dropout Isaye’s cadre.

As I said, you are too low IQed to understand. What makes you think I care. What are the countries that are going to purchase electricity that is generated only 15 Kms from the Sudanese border? Can you name one? You are so dumb you think that Djibouti and Kenya are going to build thousands of Kms of transmission lines inside Ethiopia to import the electricity!

Still, your statements reveal envy that is probably borrowed from your dictator. You Guys breathe and live envy. What a sad creature you guys have become.
Are you telling me all 120 million Ethiopians have not had the brain to think about transmission but an Isayes’ cadres does ?
I don’t think to believe Eritreans think like Isayes and his cadres. If I am wrong, it is really, really sad.

Look at the title of this thread. So you think we take insults like ባዳና, sitting down? We who saved the real ባዳና in 4kilo from death or exile, when the weyane were knocking at his door?

Zemelso, that is ተረት። I don’t buy that ተረት። However, you are welcome to to live with that ተረት። ህወአት had never been in position to take power again. The marathon they have made in Amhara’s region did not guarantee victory. They were motivated to impress the Americans so the coup will be made.
If they were confident to take the Abiy’s government by themselves, there was no need to assemble Lidetu, Merrara Gudina even the pente, former Ethiopian prime minister, Tamirat Layne, in Washington D.C. Why the marathon ? Their political function had been intact in Amhara region. There were Amhara politicians who benefited from ህወአት than they will benefit from the Abiy’s regime.
Zemelso, you can rewrite that hearsay million times, if you think it might bring convert, you are miserably mistaken. To my Eritrean friends it is better for you to understand ethnic politics is the mindset and child of ethic politician, not Ethiopians.
To make this distinction makes many things clear.
It makes your political calculation wiser.

Affable,
The mega Data Centers purchase of electricity is already happening. In fact, there is a serious discussion about a possible conflict between the power needs of domestic industries the mega mega power needs of global data centers such as Amazon. Of course, there is always the issue of national grid development and local connectivity. Ethiopia is solving all of these issues one problem at a time.

Also, it seems that The Allied Gold Mining deal (which is an economic game changer) was possible largely as the result the availability the GERD electric power. This industrial level gold mining will Ethiopia the no.1 African gold producer generating more than 1 billion USD per year.

Wow! History revisionism, par excellence. But it's ok, the truth is the truth. He was thanking us so profusely for nothing then, huh?

Sooner or later, the weyane will make their move again. They're already soon to put southern tigray under their control again, and I doubt they'll just stop there. We'll see how he'll fare, then.
