The US embassy in Addis Ababa that recently issued travel warnings to Ethiopia is fully convinced that the deteriorating political, economic, and security conditions in Ethiopia has spiraled out of control, exacerbating existing conflicts, and likely to lead to an inevitable path to state collapse and total disintegration.
I'm afraid that the US ambassador's last-ditch effort to salvage the situation in Ethiopia is too little too late, because the country has slipped out of US control and effectively placed under UAE's sphere of influence for several years now, and the one who holds the key to Ethiopia's survival as a nation is not in Mekelle or in Dubai, but in Adi Halo.

You used to share these kinds of bravado just before the last war started and hundreds of thousands of people died, remember? The Americans are trying to save you, dummy. Another war in Ethiopia will result in unimaginable destruction to Ethiopia, Tigray & Eritrea. No one will be a winner. You should ask TPLF leaders to think twice at this critical time. I am truly praying for peace in east Africa. I am very WORRIED.
