Re: ለገና መብራት ቱስ ቱሶች - ሐኪሞቹም ተገንጣዮች ናቸው ማለት ነው?
Ethiopia has never treated well its physicians. There is some good history how health service providers were compensated from the time of the king but after that nothing good. Pilots and airlines hospitality or office workers received a lot better compensation and living condition than Physicians from general practice to specialty level. Even engineers fared a lot better especially civil engineers as they were often in house building lucrative business [that may be no more there now]. A segment or all of the Ethiopian health care should be privatized where the government should pay properly for the cost physicians provide care for uninsured or poor people. If government cannot hire physicians, medical schools should be training physicians who pay their training fee and if the government wants to train physicians for itself with agreement to pay to the trainees, government should pay medical colleges. The medical system of that country needs reconceptualization and re-doing. It cannot continue abusing health service providers like this. There is a space for improvement, but no one appears to care. There should not be a government owned hospitals rather government should pay like Medicare/Medicaid or NHS of UK for physicians for their service so that healthcare providers could be properly compensated.
