The machines are hidden, how they harvest enset, produce primary stage wet kocho, how it separates the qacha fiber, and how it dries the wet qocho, how it produces qocho flour are hidden from the public.

That is an interesting reveal! The best thing that mismanaged and abused country needs is food diversification. I remember a cuban professor laughing us saying you are starving because you don’t eat what you have. He said in cuba we eat everything that flies except aero planes . He lamented a dying and fat sheep was thrown out in the area because people could not eat it for not being slaughtered. The old testament and mohamodan food selectionism is killing Ethiopians. The new testament allows you to eat anything in market as far as healy and you bless it. Did you see African how plump they are eating cassava and corn porridge, swallowing rats and lizards whole head first, as they joke, asians eating dog, insects and what have you? Asians are in billions still feed themselves and even invent. Cassava smells very bad when they dry it under the sun but feeds large segment of the world. It can work both ways
It is not me who supported chigrians or the colobus monkeys in Menelik Palace who are addicted to vanity projects than solving real problems of people of which food security is the first. But we should not be waiting the incompetents in 4 killo to teach people to diversify food, starvation which is the necessity should do and people should comply. But we don’t have that open culture and open society. Religion still acts as a barrier when it comes to food preference . Also upbringing matters. If you ate something as a kid, likely you won’t be afraid as adult! I myself don’t eat pork, many sea stuff except fish for example is not due to religion but simply not used to it.
