በእኔ አስተሳሳብ ለመጀመርያ ግዜ ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ ዕዉቀት መላ ምትን ፈንግሎ ስር መስደድ ጀምሯል።

የተረጋገጠ እዉነት ዘላቂ ዕዉቀት ይሆናል። የሰዉ ኣእምሮ እዉነትን የማረጋገጥ ችሎታን የተካነ ነዉ።

ዩኒቨርዚቲዎች የዚህ እዉነትን የማረጋገጥ ችሎታ ማዕከል ናቸዉ። ለአዲስ ዕዉቀት ፈር ቀዳጆች እንጂ የካድሬዎች ተከታዮች ኣይዴሉም። ለዚህም መሳሳትን ወይም ስህተት ማስተጋባትን የሚፈሩ ናቸዉ። ስህተት ሰንብቶ ጎጂ መሆኑን ስለምያዉቁ መሳሳትን ይፈራሉ።

የዩኒቨርዚቲ ቃል መሠረቱ ዩኒቨርስ ነዉ። ዩኒቨርስ ምድርን፣ ዉቅያኖስን፣ ሰማይን፣ እና ጠፈርን ጨምሮ ማለቅያዉ የማይታወቅ ግዙፍ ስፍራ ነዉ።

የተረጋገጠ ዕዉቀት በዚህ ግዙፍ ስፍራ ዉስጥ የትም ቢሆን እዉነት ነዉ።

ስለዚህ የኢትዮጵያ ዩኒቨርዚቲዎች በሙሉ በዚህ ግዙፍ ስፍራ ዉስጥ ግዙፍ ሀላፊነታቸዉን ተገንዝበዉ ስህተትን የሚፈሩ የዕዉቀት ኣገልጋዮች እንጂ የጥርብ ካድሬዎች ኣገልጋዮች መሆን ዬለባቸዉም።

የኢትዮጵያ ዩኒቨርዚቲ መሆናቸዉን ከተገነዘቡ ኢትዮጵያ ሃገር መሆኗን የሚዘነጉ መሆን ዬለባቸዉም።

Some of us may have had opportunity to work in those universities/university. They are not independent. They are all political universities. Presidents are assigned by political view and ethnic background. Professorship is a status given based on political view, support for the ruling group and based on ethnicity. There was competition to assign professors based on ethnics. If you are on Oromo in Oromo university you will likely get professorship with less effort. If you are a tigre academic in Tigre university, the same. Each ethnic was promoting its professor. Also some one supporting the ruling dictator will likely be a professor and they would use his mouth to support them. So universities basically became a shameful place. Historically AAU had a good name but it even graduated a person with plagiarized PhD and you know who that is. Ethiopian universities have to go quite a stretch to be a university by international standard!
Also universities are ethnically owned and presidents are ethnically assigned. For example Kitebe university is Oromuma ethnofascist owned institution. Even citizens by reflex have developed some unacceptable attitude that is surprising. If the president is Oromo for example unit leaders are elected Oromo so that they can work better in the system. I don’t even know when all this predicaments in that country at least will improve. Most happy not to be in that country right now
