They could have tried to disintegrate Ethiopia. Infact may have tried. But apparently a stable southern neighbor for shabiya was more advantageous for them than a fragmented neighbor. To disintegrate Ethiopia it was not in the interest of both rebel groups. The plan was to exploit the spoil. Also disntegrating Ethiopia was not on the table to consider it with their foreign handlers because that would create unstable HoA for the big guys. Shabiya could have tried to sabotage or try disintegration but would not be its best choice after the grueling gurella war. Once they got their wish or primary goal that was it. The next plan was how to run TPLF and exploit Ethiopia, at which time hell got loose between two Tigrigna speakers. Ethiopia survived by miracle and perhaps due to TPLF and EPLF global handlers. These two evils did not do any favor for Ethiopia as a country. The country is still in trouble bs of what Shabiya and TPLF invested but chickens come home to roost-TPLF and Shabiy to some extent tasted what they clocked !

Sifting through all past threads and opinions, Zack is an Eritrean within 99.9% confidence interval. He is not someone either from Djibouti or Somalia. Shabia trolls come in several disguised names , nationalities and identities. Their mode of operation is quite simple: create suspicion and animosity among Ethiopians either along ethnicity or religion, etc. to justify their own fabricated cause.

1. they likely did not have the motive on disintegration of Ethiopia(their goal was met by taking Eritrea).
2. They infact wanted the unity of Erthiopia for their own advantage ( exploit if they can; a unified Ethiopia better to stabilize the region than disintegration and fighting ethnics)
3. Even if they wanted the disintegration of Ethiopia they could not bring that because their international handlers did not want it (HoA would be more unstable). War sooner or later could have erupted between the two buddies TPLF and EPLF when Tigray became a new country. The two will never exist as independent neighboring countries.
4. Shabia wanted existing Ethiopia bs the one way shabiya fasten Eritrea independence was recognition by a weakened Ethiopia ruled by their budy TPLF.

Personally I don’t consider shabiy favored and kept Ethiopia “united”. In fact they are the ones who trained all of ya ethnic mercenaries including OLF/OPP who ar committing atrocities. Shabiya is the reason for the Anole Statu of shameful cut breast holding hand by the work of the dead Tesfaye Gebreebab
Lastly, shabiya never does a favor to any one. They just try whatever they think is good and useful to them.
