Abyi blames his subordinates for his debunked lie.

Post by Zmeselo » 11 Mar 2025, 13:58

Over the past seven years, the Prime Minister’s communication approach has been remarkably accessible and open, aimed at sharing insights and inspiring action and productivity through his unique lens and experiences. At times, he shares progress reports received from regions as a source of inspiration. In this process, regional progress is highlighted and scaled up to showcase best practices and achievements.

However, we recognize that in an instance of a post yesterday, the information flow from the grassroots administrative level to the Prime Minister, was a case of inaccurate photo image insertion together with accurate ones. The images shared in this case yesterday are an example of such mistakes in the channel from the regional level to the federal. We are taking measures to prevent their recurrence.

Yesterday’s post has since been removed from the Prime Minister’s page. We appreciate citizens who spotted the inaccuracy and everyone’s understanding. The accurate story of the exemplary farm yield will be presented through the media soon.

TIGRAY🚨The TPLF faction led by Debretsion (TPLF-D) made a bold move today, seizing control of Adigrat town administration by ousting officials appointed by the Getachew Reda (TPLF-G) faction.

Reports from Tigray allegedely suggest that similar actions of dismantling TPLF-G's Interim Administration are expected to take place in Adi Gudem, Maychew, Edaga Hamus, Seharti, and even the regional capital, Mekelle ... with the possibility of this trend spreading across the rest of Tigray administrations.

This controversial yet strategic move comes, at a time when PM Abiy Ahmed and his proxy TPLF-G administration are itching to turn Tigray a battleground for Abiy Ahmed's upcoming conflict with Eritrea.

BREAKING🚨 Getachew Reda seems to have narrowly escaped arrest by the powerful TPLF-D faction, reportedly fled to Addis Ababa. His title as Interim Administrator, which he often referred to as "President," is no longer recognized in Tigray.

The fateful dismissal letter that he issued to three top TPLF generals two days ago has now sealed his fate in Tigray for good.

According to Debretsion, Getachew Reda's actions amount to 'national treason.'

Unlike Abiy Ahmed's proxy administration (TPLF-G) led by Getachew and Lt. Gen. Tsadkan, TPLF authorities led by Debretsion have made it unequivocally clear that PM Abiy Ahmed's threat to 'invade' Eritrea's port of Assab and transform landlocked Ethiopia into a maritime nation is completely absurd.

TPLF-D, through its Deputy Chairwoman, has firmly declared that TPLF will not permit Tigray to become a battleground for Abiy Ahmed's reckless ambitions.

Reports ftom Tigray indicate that TPLF-D gained control of Mekelle airport, shortly after Getachew Reda fled to Addis Ababa.

This development suggests that the TPLF-G faction has been effectively dysfunctional, with no remaining influence in Tigray as the powerful TPLF faction consolidates its control.

Revisiting the Truth: Monalisa Abreha’s Testimony and My Apology to the Eritrean Army (“In war, truth is the first casualty.”)

In the context of the Tigray War, numerous reports have accused Eritrean troops of committing human rights violations, including the rape and abuse of Tigrayan women and girls. One such report by Al Jazeera highlighted these grave allegations.

However, a recent personal encounter has shed new light on these events. I had the privilege of meeting Ms. Monalisa Abreha, who was 18 years old during the conflict and was prominently featured in the aforementioned Al Jazeera report as a victim of Eritrean army abuses. Contrary to the allegations, Ms. Abreha recounted that the Eritrean soldiers did not harm or abuse her; instead, they assisted her in obtaining medical treatment. Despite enduring the amputation of her hand and partial impairment, she holds positive memories of the Eritrean army’s treatment of her during that period.

Ms. Abreha has recently arrived in Melbourne to reunite with her father. She is an intelligent and attentive young woman who deserves our full support and encouragement. At Africause, we were delighted to welcome her and have provided her with a laptop to commence her studies in Australia.

In light of Ms. Abreha’s testimony, I wish to extend my sincere apologies to the Eritrean army for previously echoing unverified reports concerning their alleged involvement in human rights abuses in Tigray, particularly regarding Ms. Abreha’s case. This experience has reinforced my pride in Eritrean identity and the importance of verifying information before forming judgments.

It is crucial to acknowledge that while Ms. Abreha’s account offers a different perspective, there have been documented incidents during the Tigray conflict where Eritrean forces were implicated in serious human rights violations. For instance, reports have emerged detailing atrocities committed by Eritrean troops in Tigray, including massacres and other forms of abuse.

These contrasting narratives underscore the complexity of the conflict and the necessity for thorough, impartial investigations to ascertain the truth. They also highlight the importance of not generalizing the actions of individuals to entire groups and the need for careful consideration of all available evidence before drawing conclusions.

Congratulations to Monalisa for her resilience, perseverance, and courage. Despite having faced a near-death experience, she carries a bright smile on her face, a true testament to her strength.
