It is a show business to get American attention!

A show business to indicate there is religious freedom in Ethiopia

It is politically motivated popularity stint. Captivating the mind of evangelicals to worship a person and a party.

And a lot of current evangelicals like status, show, money all of which are against the biblical truth.

A real Christian gets into his room and pray to the God who watches and rewards.

Axumezana is happy the word of God is being freely preached in Ethiopia but I am against spiritual adultery . The Ethiopian government should not promote demonic religious festivals like irrecha . People are free to believe and celebrate their festivals but Abiy & his likes that claim they are followers of Jesus Christ should not promote paganistic celebrations. The Bible is very clear : No unity between light & darkness!

I think you may have said this right, unless you spoil it with another post as usual .
Religion and politics should be separated. Unless this happens ruling group (bad or good) will abuse it for their benefit.
I know Ethiopian evangelicals since high school, during Mengistu and TPLF times. During the king they said there was unseen oppression. Mengistu time there was clear persecution. During TPLF, evangelicals mostly got freedom (one good thing about TPLF). Then came this Con artist "God send" who has effectively adulterated all religions, the worst corruption of evangelicals. That is, he used them for political advantage.
Evangelicals now are no more self-regulated. I really hate to identify myself with these group anymore. I want to select with whom to be associated or not instead of this mass intoxication. It's better to do it the old way. If the church becomes part of politics and earthly kingdom, that is loss of principle. Jesus could have ousted the roman emperor and could have become earthly king. That was what his disciples expected him to do when it began. But he was on earth to preach heavenly kingdom. He did not miss that for a millisecond. That is what Christians are supposed to do. Follow Jesus and preach Gods kingdom, preach the gospel to the needy/to the world. But now that message is converted to preaching prosperity, wellbeing, earthly richness, politics... what have you not! Evangelicals now became untrustworthy, cheap and laughable. If some one tells me he/she is evangelical these days, I would not see that person any differently from non-believer until I find out what the life of that person entails. They brought a shame to most of us.

If the Oromuma system was real converted or practicing evangelical politician dominated,we should have been in different trajectory. Peace and unity should have prevailed. Ethnicity should not have been the dominant agenda.

Odie, you are mentally sick. You should immediately get out of Ethiopian affairs. Ethiopia is a country of diverse religions. Only secular politicians can be its leaders of government. If you want a practicing Christian to lead Ethiopia per Christian principles, that person should legally establish a Christian-faith based political party, register it and run for elections.
To lead a plural faith Ethiopia, you got to be secular publicly and individually declared. There must be proof for that. Otherwise, you will be doomed to be stoned to fail. Your party will not be registered to run for elections.
