A lot more will be done after Eritrea receives a billion dollars from fessi arawit, if the video he showed is Massawa at all to begin with:

Btw, Mengie's cluster bombing of Massawa is PIA's fault.

Weizero shitmeslo!
You are like a typical house negro who blame his failure to what his ancestors have went through. In 30 years, the Chinese brought 600 million people from utter poverty and here you are justifying the uselessness of the eritrean dictator on mengistu.

Eritrea has limited resources and it has prioritized food security and basic services like health and access to water in rural areas. The other priority has been security given hostility of US/West to an independent minded nation anywhere in the world. And Eritrea has been able to maintain a strong military that has kept it safe. By any measure Eritrea has done very well on these priorities.

Eritrea has not prioritized building fancy hotels/condos/restaurants in Asmara and Massawa where US Aid workers and foreigners can enjoy a good time. Unfortunately, many people associate "development" with such things.

Weizero fessi arawit, Eritrea's GDP/capita in 1992 was $167.08. In 2025, it's $754.96 (https://ycharts.com/indicators/eritrea_ ... ent_prices)

All this, considering Eritrea had only 4 years of peace in its independent existence (1993-1997). Add the debilitating sanctions and it's a miracle not only that it has survived at all, but that it achieved a lot of the MDG's and it's on its way to achieving many of the SDG's.

It's food secure, analphabetism is practically eliminated, has built more than 700 dams and micro-dams, AIDS and malaria levels are close to zero etc etc.

Who's the house negro here really, sh!thead?

Btw, why did you post a video of Massawa from 30 years ago (if it's Massawa at all)?

Commemoration of 50th Anniversary of gross atrocities and massacres of innocent civilians perpetrated in Asmara and its environs in January and February 1975 by the Ethiopian army of occupation, was held at Bahti Meskerem this afternoon.

Around 11,000 Eritrean innocent civilians were massacred in the indiscriminate killing-spree that continued unabated in all parts of the city as well as 57 sourrounding villages, for over six weeks. Many villages were wantonly burned; and, churches vandalized as the army mercilessly massacred the helpless civilians who sought sanctuary in the holy places.

The poignant Remembrance Event, held under the theme: "We have not Forgotten", featured harrowing narrations from survivors; and, fitting poems and songs.

Weizero shitmeslo!
Everybody with common sense knows that Wedi Medhin Berad is a cruel thug with no sense of responsibility or accountability. Otherwise, the country wouldn't be the laughingstock of the world, a relic of the past. Perhaps individuals like you take pride when foreigners depict Eritrea as a place where time stands still, but this kind of characterization should not be seen as a badge of honor; rather, it should be a source of embarrassment.
The performance of the regime is as follows:

Healthcare System: There is no decent healthcare system in Eritrea. Hospitals are regarded not as places for healing but as sites where the probability of death increases exponentially. They are understaffed, lack equipment, and have no medicine. In fact, you can hardly call them hospitals.

Infrastructure: The Eritrean dictator claims that his priority is not Asmara but rural areas. However, neither rural areas nor Asmara have any paved roads. In Asmara, the roads built during the Italian period are worn down, requiring drivers to navigate in a zigzag manner to prevent total damage to their vehicles.

Water Supply: Despite Wedi Medhin Berad's claim that the country built 700 dams after independence, water is scarce in Eritrea. Asmarinos stand in queues with their blue gallons on the street to get their ration.

Education: Supporters of Wedi Medhin Berad frequently use the term "free education" in Eritrea. The question is, what kind of education are youngsters actually receiving? Even the dictator admitted in an interview that he was baffled regarding the whereabouts of those who graduate from 12th grade. Private educational institutions that offered decent education have been ordered to shut down. The SMAP Institute of Training, Education, Research, and Consultancy, which provided quality education, was closed by the regime, as was the Italian school that offered scholarships for students to study in Italy.

Diplomacy: A street thug does not understand the meaning of diplomacy because of his thuggish nature. We were told that our diplomatic relationships with countries like Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were deeply rooted and historical. Yet today, despite the Eritrean dictator's brief visits to their capitals, there is nothing to show for these relationships. If Eritrea were led by visionary leadership, goats, camels, and sheep could have been exported to these countries, earning desperately needed hard currency. Instead, we are polluting our air and soil to excavate minerals from inhabited areas to export them to China at bargain prices.

Military: TikTok warriors, FANO, the Janjaweed of Sudan, and even Tigrayan soldiers have proper military uniforms and boots, but the Eritrean Defense Forces still use shidda shoes and mismatched outfits.

Housing: A person is born, grows up, gets married, and builds a family of their own. Despite this obvious progression, no one is allowed to build their own house in Eritrea. The construction of buildings is forbidden by the regime. Yet, individuals like you give him accolades for being a visionary leader?

Disintegration of Family Units: Eritreans are spread everywhere. Where is the policy that could attract these people back to their country? Instead, the dictator tries to lecture us about the state of the union in America and the unemployment affecting Americans and Europeans.
