Horus, beautifying vs building infrustructure so people can utilise and at the same make the economy to grow, admit it. If you are building just for eye, wasting money you don’t have with no substance, so your city can be Western-like city. Zero comparison.

Horus, why not train Ethiopians for engineering and design with infrastructure that makes the economy grow? Believe me beautifying a city only for tourism does not make a nation grow in fact tourism if not careful: affects privacy and sovereignty of the nation, increases prostitution, increases lgbt… and pedophilia aka raping of children ( boys and girls), increases hiv and stds, occupies land such as hotels that rich and few utilise where prostitution and pedo takes place, you name it. The money that comes through tourism is lazy income in addition the damage it does above, it is a drop in ocean for a nation. Not to mention the worshipping of foreigners had grown since Tplf rule. Of course, just like real estate, which is copy and paste from West where we are now seeing the housing crisis in West and danger of corporations oligarchs are endangering the hard working middle class population which they believed in the trickle down, instead wealth is flowing up and in the hands of a handful. countries like Ethiopia are being advised by the same oligarchs to do the same thing, which is let wealth flow to only few the selected at the expense of the majority.

I don't know who you are, nor do I know what you want. I want to tell you that you need to reread what you just wrote. what is taking place in Addis Abeba is not some face lifting painting job. It is called urban design, urban transformation and the reconstruction of a mega city of 8 million population. In fact, I can't wait to see corridor 3 hitting western Addis Abeba from Atiklt Tera all the way to Kolfie keraniyo that includes Merkato and Addis Ketema.

Addis Abeba is for the first time a city with Sewer system, drainage system, modern traffic system etc etc ... The issue is not about the depth and significance of the corridor process. Our fear is that they might stop the process and leave the north and western Addis as is. That will be a tragedy.

And, stop, talking about growth and tell those youth who waste their life on tiktok and you tube tell them to do what these other heroes of work do, building the Ethiopian cities and working the Ethiopia farms.

It is our great fortune that we Ethiopians are born to live and die in a nation of greatness! The free beautiful and invictus Ethiopia!!!
