Cuba is a beautiful country. I visited the island several times as a tourist. The people are healthy, well educated and have an abundance of food. One thing they lack is material wealth because of their political system & US Embargo.

If the animals were not preventing mass departure, most able Ethiopians and Eritreans would leave their country for another country because those running the countries and their cadres made those countries unliveable.
Cuba has an efficient health system better than any developed country. They were able to develop their own COVID vaccine in short time. They send health professionals overseas. Racial tolerance is probably better than any country in the world. Their main problem is embargo. If you give opportunity, any able Ethiopian or Eritrean would migrate to cuba.
It is shaming and annoying to equate what is happening in Ethiopia with development, wealth accumulation, capitalism or changing the lives of average Ethiopians. We are in sad times that we have people among us to convince us that the country is shooting in development when people are detained, killed, incarcerated and their property confiscated at the will of the gang and their cronies.
What if we propose the ethnofascists and their paid supporters move to somalia or somaliland or an island or any country that can accept them (doubt) and experiment their ethno-fascism, corridor thing and prosperity gospel there because they are minority too and hated?
