All of southern Ethiopia has refused to engage in war and violence since Abiy Ahmed rose to power. Even Somali have been pacified

For the past 5 years it was Welega Shene that fought the gov on its own choice. But my question is why? I believe there is a issue between Welega men and women that caused their men to choose to die in war instead of getting married

The Tigray war only lasted Nov 2020 - Nov 2021 (1 year) than it came back on Aug 2022 - Nov 2022 so in total 16 months or 1 year and 4 months

The Amhara was largely not engaged in violence until TPLF invaded Amhara in July of 2021 - November of 2021 so 5 months + August 2022 - October 2022 . So in total TPLF spent 9 months in Amhara region

Abiy started the war in Amhara region by seeking to disarm Amhara Special forces by force as well as disarming Fano by force in April 2023 today it is December 2024 meaning the Amhara war is 20 months old nearing 2 years. The Amhara did not choose this war rather it was enforced onto Amhara by Abiy Ahmed. The most pacifist are Dessie-Kombolcha Amharas that refused to join any army. This is why TPLF easily occupied them to this day they aren't engaged in military activity

But my question is for welega why did welega shane choose to fight Abiy for 5 years? Is the war to impress welegan women or is it because welegan men hate their women and decided to avoid their women by engaging in war
