Hatred is directed toward people who do you wrong. I have no intrest in hating or loving eritreans. Tbh, i only notice eritrea exists when i log in to this forum once every blue moon. It's neither good nor bad, as it won't make any difference whatsoever. Kenyans in general don't travel that much, and much less for tourism around the world, including within Africa. And anyhow, visa for Eritrea is $73, and removing this fee won't attract more Kenyans to visit Eritrea. As for Eritreans, we all know their situation.

Did not see the second part. Respect is earned not handed out. There are many eritreans who have earned my respect in my social circle. Kerenite, in fact, Aklilu is correct. I recall him from a few years ago; he rarely engaged with Eritreans, even when they voiced opposition to Ethiopia. He never broached topics concerning Eritrea or its people, for that matter. It seems to me that he is simply toying with them. Given their heightened sensitivity, it is rather entertaining to watch. I don’t believe it stems from hatred after all, why would an Ethiopian Amhara from Shewa harbour any animosity towards someone from Asmara? What reason could there possibly be? I personally used to take pleasure in the debates between Aklilu and Cigar, particularly whenever Emperor Haile Selassie was mentioned. Cigar would almost sound like raped woman, his anguish was real, as though the Emperor had inflicted some profound emotional Physcial harm. Those threads were quite entertaining to read, especially six years ago indeed.
