In 16th and 17 centuries, the Greeks were nowhere in Ethiopia and in the world. Their power and influence had long vanished taken over by the emergent power nation-states of Europe. Especially in Ethiopia, these 200 years saw the Portuguese influence rising. They were kings advisors, explorers and catholic mission builders. The cultural anomaly of the Greek name Gorgorios rings past its time. Needs to be looked at whether the story is true.
