AI was asked the following question.
Q: Based on the countries present and past experience what would be the best political model for ethiopia?
Answer:
Ethiopia's political model could benefit from a federal system that balances ethnic representation with national unity. Drawing on its diverse population, a model similar to that of Canada or Switzerland, which accommodates multiple identities while promoting shared governance, may be effective.
Key considerations include:
1. Decentralization: Granting significant autonomy to regional states can help address ethnic diversity and regional needs.
2. Power Sharing: Establishing a system that ensures all major ethnic and political groups have representation in government can reduce tensions.
3. Inclusive Governance: Promoting dialogue and cooperation among various factions, including marginalized groups, can foster stability.
4. Rule of Law and Human Rights: Strengthening institutions that uphold the rule of law and protect human rights is essential for legitimacy and social cohesion.
5. Economic Integration: Policies that promote economic development and equitable resource distribution can help alleviate regional disparities and encourage national unity.
By adopting a hybrid model that incorporates these elements, Ethiopia could navigate its complexities while promoting peace and development.

Re: What would be the best political model for Ethiopia?
the ideal political system for Ethiopia to adopt in my opinion for it to be a peaceful, prosperous, powerful and indivisible country is as follows:
1. Ethiopia adopts a semi presidential system of government at the national level; the president is elected by a directly-elected electoral college via proportional representation. the president and prime minister of Ethiopia has the same powers/role as their respective counterparts in Russia
2a. Ethiopia has a new type of federalism that is not based on ethnicity.....see link below for more detail

2b. provinces in Ethiopia shall be governed each by an executive branch that is modelled after the executive branch in each of the states of India
2c. federalism in Ethiopia works like federalism in Germany in terms of dividing up powers and resources. Some Somalians (Darods) think federalism means have a weak central government when the opposite is the truth

Re: What would be the best political model for Ethiopia?
“not based on ethnicity.”
Seconded!
The problem is how can we implement this?
Can Fano be expected or trusted to do this?
Current regime is filthy criminal and will continue running the ethnic mill until deposed

The British model of Parliamentary system would help.
The one we currently have is corrupted.
Rearrange the region in to 14 states based on geographically. With the Authority to elect their own leaders and legislators. With full authority to raise taxes and look after their municipalities and affairs.
That will be a good start.
Of course the constitution must change first.
