I once admired Horus for his insightful comments on ER. Lately, he has become a mouthpiece for fascist Abiy Ahmed and his cronies. Where once he stood for the plight of the noble Guraghe people, he now advocates for an unnecessary war with neighbouring nations. I am sure he knows, there is a more diplomatic solution to the port problem than going for armed conflict. Ethiopia has all kinds of opportunities to go into a port agreement where all the parties involved could become beneficiaries. Ethiopia only needs access to the sea for commercial/business purposes. Building a navy is a worthless exercise that can only bolster the ego of dictators. No navy (except USA & Russia) is good defensive or offensive institution. Even the navies of the developed western European nations are not that good. Even if a naval force is considered beneficial, Ethiopia has no coastal border that needs defending.
Shame on Horus.

The Ethiopia I know and die for has always been proud, but never been an aggressor until now. Unless you are blinded by some undisclosed hate, this is an obvious issue. What Ethiopian government doing now is throwing he nation and its people into a perpetual war with its neighbours. Just remember no nation hold on to a piece of land that it stole from others in this day and age.
