General Tsadikan, the man who led the Ethio- Eritrea war of 1998-2000 is a man of unfinished business with Isaias. Abiy knows very well that and it looks he and General Tsadikan has developed a shared vision and agenda on how to defend Ethiopia against Isaias, Somalia and Egypt. General Tsadikan knows very well who is who within the military elites of Tigray, that Abiy has no option but to use them on the upcoming defensive war against foreign enemies, and he is the key person for Abiy to pool from the military talents of Tigray . Tsadikan is a close friend of Siye and he has also good relationships & backing from the security officials of the USA . He is a useful tool to implement USA policies in the Horn of Africa.
Therefore General Tsadikan who highly respected by Tigrayans , Abiy and the USA is the most important man to watch in the Horn Africa & a major threat for Isaias. Debretsion effort to reassert power has failed and has faced political dead end. Getachew under the guardian of Siye & General Tsadikan will continue to climb the ladder of power in Tigray and/ or the Federal government.
