Addis Ababa May 27/2024 Ethiopia and Kuwait have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to to send 60,000 Gurage listro maids to Kuwait.

Minister of Labor and Skills Muferiat Kamil and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Ethiopia, Nayef Al-Otaibi signed the agreement in the presence of officials from both sides.

The agreement would have a significant role for Gurage listro women to have maid job access legally in a manner that safeguards their rights and benfits in Kuwait.
