HorseAss,
Ethiopia covers a land area of 1,112,000 square kilometres and has over 110 million people. Yet, you seem to be fascinated with the few square kms in Addis and the 1 percent of Ethiopian people (at most) who enjoy your lights and sights. This is, of course, typical of Africans who develop a tiny corner of their capital city to look like European cities to the utter neglect of 99% of their population. It is a failed development model used by failed leaders and elites to swindle their people. There are currently more Ethiopians in internal displacement camps than people who live in Addis. Not that most of Addis Ababans fare better; They are as miserable as the internally displaced people!

He's fascinated by a few streets with street lights and traffic signals, while:
Close to 80% of the city (Addis) is considered slum - Habitatethiopia.org/
and
80% of the population in Ethiopia still live in slums - Habitatforhumanity.org.uk/
