The decline of the Ethiopian empire
The abyssinians formed one of the most formidable black african empire in the HoA. It stood on par with the civilizations of its time. Byzantine, greek, western civilization and others. It put up a formidable resistance to many enemies-the mahdists, italians, otomans, Adal and others. It served as a beacon of civilization in the region. Its region expanded north to the red sea and significantly southward, to the east and to the west. Unfortunately when the western christian society went through scientific and cultural renaissance and upheaval, Ethiopia is thought to remain frozen in time & space and assume to be the only christian country left behind in those metrics. Even worse the country went through the drain of socialist revolution followed by ethnic political strife which still is at the peak of destroying the country. The basic fabrics of the nation has been undone. The central and northern traditional pillars of the empire fractured creating animosity among tigrians, amhara and the now independent eritreans. Currently the country has descended in utter chaos in the hands of ethnic nationalists who superficially and mischievously appear to promote Ethiopia however busy with urbicide, domicide and this way or that way destroying the traditions, culture, pride and beings of the traditional abyssinians apparently in a vengeance but ostensibly for development. Will Ethiopia survive the slaughter in the hands of its inbred haters to another century and witness another historical greatness or remain fragmented? Time will show the verdict.
