which port was historically Ethiopian port?

Post by Odie » 12 Jul 2024, 20:51

We know አቤቶ ምንሊክ built and used Ethio-Djibouti railway in agreement with France despite the later was trying to connive him. His Majesty Selassie developed Assab port that was sold by some Muslim privates to an italian later owened buy italy up until the albanian communist handed it over to eritrea without any diplomatic tussle the midget Meles famously saying "ግመላቸው ውሃ ያጠጡበት". He did not care to ask compensation for the infrastructure he left behind. Meles did not want to disappoint his eritrean masters. Neither did he want to put a fight with them and deliberately hurt the country he hated most-ethiopia. Behind the scene, meles was said to be more eritrean than ethiopian while Isaias was more ethiopian than eritrean. They say both are half cast. Not sure how much of this is true but for sure indicates the complexity of the ethio-eritrean conundrum! Personally i would have said elelelel if the midget was dead and Isais was the president of ethiopia and eritrea united. Unfortunately, the two guys kind of sensed they were too big tone to be the boss of the other thus decided to dismember the country. Now most eritreans look like us and unfortunately most of us look like them except by accent or flinging insult one on the other. Or the eritrean say they have better IQ bs of colonization although they are [ deleted ] like us. All of us eat injera no wonder our temper tantrum and insult furls across the border. The Tigrians trapped soul between their Amhara brothers and eritrean kins simply don’t have life but jealous all the time trying to copy own by hook or crook what the other two have.
Coming back to ports again, at the time of his majesty ethiopia was using Djibouti only for 7% the import/export. Although Djibouti was historically part of ethiopia, the big boys including France, under the influence made it inaccessible to be fully owened by ethiopia.
War should not really be an option to get the best deal on Ethiopian port issue at this time as this war may be never ending one, I suppose. However, the OPDO/PP idiots are probably going for it with somalia any way. Is Somaliland really the only best option fascist PP/OPDO had to address long term port problem? Or they are trying to exploit the weakness of Somalia when Somalia dismembered itself? Personally I don’t even feel the deal is a good business deal even after assuming there was no objection from somalia!
Also, Port was not the urgent problem for ethiopia as it thrived without it for decades. At this time the ethiopian problem is ethnofascism that has effectively disintegrated the country. There was a possibility of striking a better deal with either Djibouti or Eritrea through international diplomatic means/arbitration then or even now. It is a political game the Oromuma boys are playing with Somalia, eritrea and Djibouti. It is their international diplomacy failure. That is why Ethiopians should not dance with the Oromuma boy’s trick. ሻውያ boys stop bashing ethiopians!

This port comedy is all about distracting shallow-minded Ethiopians from the pressing issues the country has lately been facing. Ethiopian economy has even been doing much better since Ethiopia has depended on Djibouti's port for moving its imports and exports, compared to when it had free access to Eritrea's ports free of charge. For instance, Ethiopia's GDP grew at a rate of between 3% and 5% when Ethiopia was using Eritrea's ports. In contrast, since it has become dependent on Djibouti's port, its GDP has been growing at a rate of between 8% and 11%.

In reality, as I've said it numerous times, what Ethiopia, under the dictatorship of Abiy, is looking for is not even a port, but a coastal land where to build a naval base shared with the UAE. This literally means annexing a portion of another country's land, as there's no country in the region that's selling out such a coastal land. And this is for a navy, which is one of the last things Ethiopia would need.

The sad thing is that Abiy and his Oromumma criminal gangs are all riding Ethiopians and are using them as means for their selfish and wicked ends.
