Oromo language was never banned in Ethiopia

Prove me wrong!

From King Sahle who conquered central Shawa in 1780 to Haile selassie the Oromo language was always being spoken and never banned. The Amhara kings never assimilated the Oromo as Oromo Aba Gadas assimilated other tribes even the Gojame King Taklahaymanot conquered Horu Gudru and Nekemte + Jimma but never assimilated nor banned Oromo language rather the local Oromos began to work with Amhara kings and provide military support therefore the Amhara king did not oppress the locals as many lied
