In East Gojam zone in 2016. The second round of national defense army recruitment is underway. The youth of the zone who wanted to serve their country in foreign countries are also being sent to training institutions.
Youth Melese Ashenafi is one of the youth who joined the national defense forces. His father has stated that he is serving the national defense forces in foreign countries.
Melese, the young man who expressed his father's resignation while serving the country and the people, has also announced that he has registered today including his uncle and cousins. "I joined the army to protect my country by accepting the responsibility of our fathers" said the youth.

East Gojam zone peace and order director Abebaw Belete said "the morale and emotion that the youth of the zone are showing to protect their country is admirable".
