Yes, Amara was tricked by the West's evil work. Amara had weakness by considering ascaris and agames tplfs as our own type. Big mistake!!
So the over 80k Amara soldiers went home after defeating the derg and marched into Addis
It was easy for the westerners to send the Amara soldiers back to their home because Amara were not organized ethnically at all!! They didn't even see themselves differently from all Ethiopians.
