The better question is why did BRICS accept Ethiopia as a member? It is called gravitas! Just because you are eternally angry at this most historic glorious nation called Ethiopia, don't think that the rest of the world walk your talk. You were wrong about Ethiopia in 1960; you are wrong about Ethiopia in 2024. That is why Ethiopia is BRICS member.

I remember reading about EPRP claiming Eritrea was colonized by Ethiopia. And fighting for its independence. I'm sure the remnants of that wicked group are still exhibiting the same divisive agenda for the region. They are dying with the belief that unity is not strength. Divide and rule policy they learned from their masters.

1. The nationhood of Somaliland Republic is inevitable.
2. The Ethio-Somailand agreement is just beginning - it is more about the deal between the 2 countries than the noise of Somalia
3. The drama in Somalia is more about imperial scramble for Somalia than stopping Somaliland's independence
4. The shortest path for SLP is to be recognized by another country and make a deal with Ethiopia after that
5. Ethiopia cannot recognize SLP until it is sure of building a navy base & secure a country helping building the navy
6. Abiy regime itself at the cliff of collapse is not in any position to play this complex game to success
6. So all in all, everything will change and shift

EPRP folks were a bunch of young dogmatic communists, plagiarists and USSR’s foot soldiers or what Ludwig von Mises called “useful idiots”. Ever since they showed up in Ethiopia, millions of young people have perished; the course of our development has been in an irreversible decline; the social fabric that tied us together has been irreparably broken; we have become beggars and poster child of starvation. Every day I wish those mfkrs were aborted.

<> I said it before and I will say it again: Abiy’s sneaky scheme to get a sea access through Somaliland was shortsighted & ill-conceived. It can never be materialized without a diplomatic accord & understanding with Somalia & Djibouti in particular. Ethiopia will inevitably have access to sea but Abiy’s approach was childish & fraudulent. In fact, our neighbors will eventually fight against each other to lure us choose their ports.
