I do not know Hayelom personally nor met him in my life but he is from Tembien from his mother side and by father from Shire and Seraye, this I know it myself not heard it. Anyway, when he came to the US in east coast one of his relative traveled to meet him and happened to know that person and told him that Shaebia is after him and told him also do not trust Meles and Sebhat. The information came from Jibha Hamassienay who was very very anti Shaebia and he was at the top Jibha or ELF post before they were driven to Sudan. I know that person and told me about it and other Tigrayans too like Seye, Shaebia sent mercenaries to OLF and ONLF fighters and Shaebia assumed Seye would travel to that area on helicopter and were waiting for him, but never materialized, message was sent to him too but I did not know he received it but for Hayelom he did. Hayelom was told by his relative the specific threat and he was advised to be careful and not to mingle with people but he did not take that crucial advice and met his fate. Hayelom was very careless and he was acting as ordinary person to enjoy his youthful life but he forgot his position and what it comes with that position to give up some of the thing you want to do as the ordinary people do. When you hold high position as president or below, they are so many advantages and disadvantage for your future life including your immediate families too. The advantages are you will have access for everything you want and fame and power but the disadvantage is you are always prisoner of your own success, fame, power and wealth, simply you are restricted from everything everyone freely enjoys. Hayelom did not know this and he went to the wrong place with the wrong people at the wrong time to end his life.

Hayelom was to be blamed for his death, he knew hostile enemies were chasing him but he was real childish he could not take care himself, it was avoidable death had he segregated himself from the ordinary people and places, he could have been with us today and Tigray may be in the hands of Diqalu like Samora, Migbey and Ashebir, Fetlework and Debretsion avoided too, very costly???
