I have from the beginning said that UK will recognize SLR. US is opposing because America does not want Ethiopia to have a Navy. That is USA we have always known - neocolnial enemy of Ethiopia. This writer is arguing that is US or other country recognizes SLR, then it will not go through the Navy base deal. I don't think so. Free and independent SLR still wants to have Ethiopian resources , electricity, and much more from Ethiopia. They stll have to market Berbera, Zeiila and other ports.
