If you believe that Tigreans apply for asylum as Eritreans, that means the international community recognizes the fact that Eritrea is politically a miserable place to live in compared to Ethiopia. Why else would an Ethiopian seek asylum as an Eritrean? Eritreans used to apply for asylum as an Ethiopian right after independence because Ethiopia was politically worse than the newly formed Eritrea. Does that make sense?

Not to put you on the spot and I understand that claiming others nationality for asylum might hit too close to home for you (many others on this forum too if they are honest they might be in same boat or have family friends)...maybe some guilt/deflection.

I have had plenty of Ethiopians tell me honestly they got asylum by falsely claiming to be Eritrean in 90s, Bademe-wars, and since 2007 to current (influxes in various times)...even ran into some West Africans & MiddleEs For most part no issues with them since they don't interfere in Eritrean affairs & go into their own communities once they get papers...while TPLF-agame continue to meddle.

Whether you are comfortable or not, there is a large/significant amount of Ethiopians that have falsely claimed to be Eritrean for decades to gain asylum. Instead of trying to allege Eritrea is politically miserable...why not ask why the western(US/EU) international community rubber stamped the asylum of anyone & everyone claiming to be Eritrean, while simultaneously sanctioning Eritrea to increase hardships on lively hoods of Eritreans in Eritrea??

Now to completely flip it on you...i got asylum as Ethiopian since was born in Addis Ababa (Adi-Sebeb'a) Ethiopia before Independence
HIM displaced/transplanted some of my immediate family from beautiful Asmara to help Ethiopia modernize back then...but was just a baby when leaving during Derg (would have been killed if stayed...but by same token wouldn't have been born as is...timing in all things).

By the same token HIM/Derg transplanted many TigrayAgame (Ethiopians) into Eritrea as well as elite Ethiopians...many of whom committed horrendous crimes upon Eritreans (as advised by the English to use Andinet party & religious/regional agitation).
It was safer sometimes for Eritreans being in Addis Abeba back then in the eye of Ethiopian civilians...rather then in the lands that the Ethio govts sent their butchers to in other regions to administer. Dont worry, i dont go around telling people i am Ethiopian nor do i commit any crimes in your name...so your nation will not be tainted by me.

Am i wrong to ask that you dont taint Eritrea's image either on this asylum subject??...we know the Tigray/TPLF-Agame Brigade Nhamedu are all about tainting Eritrea's image...is it too much to ask you other non-TPLF Ethiopians not to do the same??

Now TPLFs evils are falling on their own people...even the western (US/EU) international community are exploiting the TPLF asylum scheme to misdirect their own people/nations from the corruption of their own nations governments/Banksters/austerity by using the foreigners/immigration card...if they dont want immigrants, they should stop their colonial mindset of sanctioning & wars on other nations. If the western global elites decide to collapse the world simply because they can no longer rule their nations & the world as they wish...rest assured humanity/people will always rebuild and will get each other through it. Unlike the TPLF, hopefully the western govts/elites will choose cooperation instead of continued exploitation of their citizens/nations and rest of the world. Nations are already going it alone or doing new multipolar alliances with better focus on mutual cooperation/benefits for their nations/regions/world rather than the old exploitive systems.
