Re: U.S. Embassy Mogadishu, Somalia

My take on this post is it has two meanings.

1) Somalilanders has the right to decide on their affairs
2) Somalia has right to claim over Somaliland

When analyzing the interaction between 1 and 2 logically 1 overrides 2. Meaning Somalilanders have chosen not be part of Somalia. Thus, Somalia has to respect the sovereignty of Somaliland. Thus, Somaliland leasing the port who ever they like to do business is their sole right. Somaliland cannot stop doing business to improve their life situation because Somalia is overrun by Al Shabab. There is no logic Somaliland should sacrifice the quality of their life.

__ As to asking Ethiopia to sacrifice her existential need (access to sea) because there is Al Shabab in Somalia is more of an international call but not a domestic national priority for Ethiopia. The only fair and balancing act will be, the U.S. has to support Ethiopia to get own port and access to sea and Ethiopia joins in the fight against Al Shabab.

These days, posting is an everyday habit. One thing that will go down in history is nothing will stop Somaliland being independent and Ethiopia having Naval base, regardless who the leader of Ethiopia. Al Shabab is Somalia's epidemic.

Ethiopia will have a better chance of establishing a port and a naval base. If Ethiopia attempts to travel to Mars on horseback, which is impossible, it will remain landlocked for eternal.

The Hamasseins are the one who are making noises. Somalia and Somal Landers aren’t saying anything negative.
Somalia’s concern is well understood but they will benefit enormously by working with Ethiopia. And they will.

In a few years the Afars will have their own MoU with Ethiopia, so it is in their best interest of Somali Landers to make it work quickly with Ethiopia.

Eritrea does not have natural oil. Does that mean, Eritrea has to invade some oil rich little island on the coast of Africa ? Ethiopia is land locked. That is not going to change. Abbiy is deceitful. He is just prolonging his power which could result in the disintegration of Ethiopia. Hitler played the same trick. He claimed that Germany could only survive if it invades and takes over what he called the Slavic hordes meaning former slaves of the Roman Empire. Ethiopia is an over populated country with the majority of illiterate citizens. Now, Abbiy can bargain for a sea access at reasonable prices. But, thereatening countries with their sovereignty only fools a kiosk attendant, chat chewing Guragie like oldi Horus and idiotic Abere.

Ethiopia soon will have Port and Naval Base right in the Red Sea Gulf. Try to stop her, she pour hell hot volcanic magma on you. No more monkey business with Ethiopia.

The only volcano that will emanate from your side is a nasty f*rt. Your culture is continuously submissive. Your people can't even stomach a simple dish with hollow bravado with no substance.
